What You’ll Do

The Project Manager will lead technology-driven initiatives that support both company-wide and digital commerce objectives. This role bridges technical and business teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with strategic goals. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment where technologies and project focus areas may vary based on business priorities.

• Oversee project planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Establish consistent project management standards, templates, and communication frameworks.
• Partner with IT leadership to align resources, timelines, and deliverables with strategic objectives.
• Manage enterprise technology initiatives involving digital commerce platforms, order management systems, product information management tools, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Provide oversight on requirements gathering, sprint planning, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and process gaps while driving continuous improvement.
• Report on project performance, budgets, and KPIs to IT and executive stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts supporting both e-commerce and omni-channel initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the project management and business analysis teams.
• Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
• Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities For Success

• 7 years of IT project management experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven success managing complex digital or omni-channel technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, Jira-based project tracking, and software delivery lifecycles.
• Experience leading or mentoring project managers and business analysts.
• Ability to provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and motivate team member to deliver high quality results.
• Familiarity with enterprise commerce systems, cloud infrastructure, and data analytics platforms.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution oversight.
• Results-driven, adaptable, and capable of influencing across multiple organizational levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport, foster relationships, and collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency in adapting communication style and tone to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at different levels within the organization.
• Effectively articulate expectations, requirements, and boundaries while actively listing to other’s perspectives.
• Contribute to the decision-making process by actively participating in discussions, providing insightful input, and challenging ideas constructively.

The pay range for this position is $99,000 - $130,000 annualized and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
