Job Title: Paid Canvasser (Part time)
Description:
Rural GroundGame is seeking to hire highly motivated individuals to conduct direct voter contact in the Black community in support of Democratic candidates. This will be done via door-to-door canvassing in the City of Lynchburg, VA. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable talking to and encouraging members of their communities to cast a ballot in the upcoming election.
This position reports directly to the Special Operations Manager. This is a part time, 20 hour per week position. This is a temporary position through November 3.
Expectations:
- Direct voter contact through door to door canvassing
- Ensuring data is collected accurately and in a timely manner
- Meeting weekly DVC goals
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous canvassing experience is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work non traditional hours (evenings and weekends)
- Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required)
- Commitment to the values of the Democratic Party
- Locals to Lynchburg or the immediate surrounding area are highly preferred
Compensation:
Canvassers are paid $20 an hour.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 per week
