About the Role
- RCHDC seeks an Off-Site Maintenance Technician to maintain buildings and grounds in good condition. This involves ensuring a healthy and safe physical environment, maximizing property lifespan, and adhering to preventative maintenance schedules.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and quarterly routine inspections and replacements according to established maintenance schedules.
- Record tasks on the maintenance schedule and submit to the Project Manager monthly.
- Order maintenance supplies.
- Prepare units for occupancy by cleaning, disinfecting, painting, patching, replacing windows, doors, door locks, and lights.
- Keep walkways and parking areas free of debris.
- Oversee lawn and garden area maintenance, as well as sprinkler systems, as instructed.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Report health and safety hazards, injuries, and accidents to authorities and management promptly.
- Execute rehabilitation plans.
- Maintain properties according to health and safety standards.
- Maintain work order logs and filing systems.
- Solicit bids for necessary work as directed.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in routine repair and maintenance of buildings, landscaping, and appliances is essential.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to accurately record information are required.
- The candidate must be physically capable of performing maintenance tasks.
- Ability to understand repair and maintenance instructions is crucial.
- Building trades experience is beneficial.
- Organizational, time management, and prioritization skills are necessary to meet deadlines.
- Possession of a valid California driver's license, good driving record, and automobile insurance is required. Reliable transportation and willingness to use personal vehicle for work purposes are also necessary.
Compensation
- $19.00 - $24.50 per hour
