Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Technician position based in Tempe, AZ. The Veterinary Technician will assist veterinarians with patient care, manage tasks related to animal care and well-being, educate clients on pet health and preventive care, and handle various technical duties such as administering anesthesia and monitoring patient recovery. A focus on compassion, communication, and attention to detail is essential for this role.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Animal Care and Pet Care, including handling, feeding, and monitoring the well-being of animals
- Proficiency in Veterinary Technology and Anesthesiology, including administering medications and monitoring anesthesia
- Experience in Client Education, providing pet owners with guidance on health, nutrition, and preventive care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
- Relevant certification or degree in veterinary technology is preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is a plus
- knowledge of AviMark is a plus.
