Role and Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from the trucks
- Review products for damage before shipments
- Sort and place materials and items according to organizational standards
- Lead, develop, train and maintain highly competent dock working professionals.
- Maximize effectiveness of each of member of the team and recommend short-term and long-term plans with respect to improving the effectiveness of assigned functions and responsibilities.
- Assure timely and accurate inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Assure the preparation and sign-off of all inbound and outbound paperwork is accurate.
- Participate in quarterly inventory counts with selected team members.
- Prep and sign-off on all inbound and outbound bill of ladings
- Label products and store them in an organized manner
- Communicate efficiently with supervisors and teammates
- Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area by maintaining company sanitation and food safety standards.
- Operate a forklift or hydraulic jack lift to move boxes.
- Work to solve inventory variances and trace-and-track issues.
- Follow all rules / guidelines / GMP’s. (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position oversees 5-8 warehouse associates.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 3 years’ experience with loading and unloading trucks
- 3 years’ experience of inventory control
- Solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
- Sound leadership experience.
- Proven ability to interact with employees in a professional manner, including under stressful situations.
- Previous forklift experience
- Able to operate a variety of forklifts. Forklift certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations.
