Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and fun Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dental team in providing excellent patient care and maintaining efficient dental office operations.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing patients for, and assisting the doctor during, dental work
• Helping with infection control by disinfecting and sterilizing instruments, setting up instrument trays and treatment rooms, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures
• Dental cleanings for children and Oral Hygiene Instructions
• Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary
• Proficiency with digital dental radiographs
• Record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
• Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist
• Evaluate supplies and assist in ordering

Experience:

- Prior experience in dental assisting
- Proficiency in using dental software a plus
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations
- Understanding of infection control protocols, including OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to manage dental records accurately
- Cross-trained experience in dental receptionist duties is a plus
