Runnings has a career opportunity for a Distribution Center Picker at our Kentland, IN location. This position will report directly to the Distribution Center Shipper Lead and Supervisor.
The Distribution Center Pickers are responsible to prepare product for shipment to the retail locations.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience

Runnings has a career opportunity for a Distribution Center Picker at our Kentland, IN location. This position will report directly to the Distribution Center Shipper Lead and Supervisor.
The Distribution Center Pickers are responsible to prepare product for shipment to the retail locations.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Accurately receive merchandise into inventory using scanning equipment.
- Print price tags and price merchandise accordingly.
- Break down merchandise into smaller quantities for shipping to retail locations.
- Responsible for accurately picking allocations of products.
- Cross check quantities to packing slip, making necessary notations when needed.
- Stack merchandise onto proper pallet, shrink wrap when necessary.
- Put merchandise away into proper bin locations maintaining accurate inventory.
- Complete daily pick orders for all stores on assigned days.
- Rotate stock in bins to ensure first in first out format as well as bin consolidation.
- Submit packing slips and freight bills as necessary.
- Operate Power Industrial Equipment including but not limited to: order pickers, stand up and sit down lifts, electric pallet jacks, Bendis, and turret trucks.
- Loading and unloading transportation items and verifying deliveries.
- Manage bin inventories and notify Supervisor of discrepancies.
- Routine daily maintenance and checklists of lift trucks.
- Housekeeping practices include sweeping, dusting, wipe downs, and all other duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Practice safety in the workplace by using safe work habits with a safety-first mindset complying with all safety measures and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- May require travel to assist in other facilities or training.
- Prior computer or scanner skills required.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Long periods of standing and walking.
- Frequent walking, bending and twisting.
- Ability to work at heights from floor level to 30'.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior Order Picking or warehouse experience preferred.
- Basic computer or scanner knowledge
- Distribution Center environment
- Cold and warm conditions
