Overview:
A Mitigation Manager will support our mitigation department in our northern-most office locations as they return compromised properties to its pre-loss condition. The Mitigation Manager is responsible for the overall management of the mitigation department for the Charlotte, NC, Rock Hill, SC and Greenville, SC offices, including oversight of daily operations, field supervisors, sub-contractors, invoicing, training and mentoring mitigation supervisors and technicians, and assisting in strategic planning and organizational processes. In this position, Mitigation Managers navigate correspondence between customers and insurance adjusters to obtain the necessary information, documentation, and payment as projects progress. Interfacing with other departments within the company will be required. This position directly reports to the Chief of Operations.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Lead and manage supervisors and technicians, providing support, supervision, and direction
Assist in the development and implementation of business strategies and procedures to ensure efficient operations
Proficient in assessing the extent of damage and help with site inspections
High level knowledge and performance of water mitigation, board up, mold remediation, and fire and smoke procedures
Perform and/or direct team to perform necessary tasks to help expedite the completion of mitigation jobs
Maintain equipment tracking system and provide monthly inventory while ensuring supplies are sufficient
Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service and ensure team provides excellent customer experience and recommend adjustments based on experience to serve in the best interest of the client and company
Assist in customer relations and resolves issues if/when any arise
Maintain regular internal and external communications for purposes of discussing matters relative to project schedules, changes in scope of work, material, and personnel resources to ensure smooth completion of project
Provide daily updates to insurance adjusters, customers, and team
Coordinate with adjusters during the estimating process
Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors
Analyze and interpret data and metrics for efficient performance
Work with the management team to develop and implement training programs
Assist in establishing policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision
Maintain a professional, positive attitude and appearance at all times
Responsible to report accurate records and complete paperwork for each job
Enforce and maintain the Purchase Order and Work Order system and tracking proper usage
Be able to guide team to complete work orders including but not limited to: measurements, moisture readings, and necessary detailed paperwork and update our industry software
Proactively communicate jobsite conditions and concerns and enforce safety guidelines
Work under time constraints to meet expected timelines
Development of supervisors and technicians through mentoring, coaching, equipping and encouraging development of skills through feedback and training
Assist with the recruitment and hiring processes with the management team
May be assigned supervisors in other locations
Willing and able to be accessible by phone and respond to after-hour/weekend emergencies, as necessary, in the on-call schedule
Out of town/state travel is a possibility
Physical Demands:
Traveling to each job location requires the safe operation of a company vehicle
Ability to lift 75 LBS frequently
Working in confined spaces
Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, balancing, walking, standing
Due to the nature of the work, the jobs site can often be dirty, possibly cold or wet, and sometimes unsanitary
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years field experience or; IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FRST, OR AMRT)
Mitigation and water drying experience
Related experience in Construction, Restoration, and/or Insurance
Basic knowledge of hand tools and their uses
Attire must meet OSHA requirements for the specific job site
Using protection through the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Must pass a Fit Test for proper fit of respirator
Comfortable with utilizing company and industry specific programs, software, and applications in accessing and uploading documents, forms, and reports
Ability to effectively teach and contribute to the development of your team of technicians through demonstration, training, and encouraging opportunities for growth
