Our client in Wayne County, MI is seeking a Public Work/MDOT Estimator to join their growing team. The ideal candidate should have the following requirements and responsibilities
- At least 5 years' experience estimating MDOT, Public Work, and Heavy Civil construction projects.
- Knowledgeable with estimating unit prices and lump sum bids.
- Capable of bidding on typical projects from $500K to $50M
- Must have knowledge of estimating underground water main systems, storm systems, sanitary sewer systems, and earthwork/site work with own workforces.
- Must have experience with HCSS Heavy Bid software system.
- Familiar with Agtek and PlanSwift estimating software.
- Must have great verbal communication skills and experience leading meetings in post-bid reviews.
- Able to create logistics plans showing how the project was planned to be built from the bid.
- Have a proven track record of specific bids awarded and profit margins.
