Job Title: Media Intern(Training for Management & Executive Role)

Location: Remote / Hybrid (Preferred: US-based candidates)
Duration: 3–6 months (Unpaid, with potential for paid extension)
Commitment: Part-time (25–30 hours/week)

Why This Internship?

What You’ll Do
You’ll be embedded in our core creative team, helping us produce high-quality, culture-forward content that lives across audio, video, and social.
Content & Creative Production
- Produce engaging social media assets, Reels/TikToks, artist clips, and show highlights for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and more
- Assist with radio and podcast production, including editing episodes, cutting promotional clips, writing show notes, and uploading metadata
- Support artist release campaigns, including music drops, brand collaborations, and sync placements
- Capture and edit behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and event footage
Social & Community Engagement
- Own sections of the RAR content calendar, from pitch to publish
- Monitor analytics and suggest optimizations to grow reach & engagement
- Engage with our audience in culturally relevant ways, jumping on trends and memes
Research & Strategy
- Track emerging South Asian artists using tools like our Spotify Artist Intelligence Pipeline
- Research diaspora music trends, brand partnership opportunities, and event tie-ins
- Identify trending audio, formats, and content opportunities for cultural storytelling
Events & Activations
- Assist in festival coverage, live artist showcases, and cultural partnerships (on-site where applicable)
- Coordinate with partners and artists for brand activations and cross-promotions
Project & Team M
- Manage teams, in festival coverage, live artist showcases, and cultural partnerships (on-site where applicable)
- Oversee and improve all coordination with partners and artists for various campaigns, and projects
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone creative, proactive, and deeply tapped into culture.
Required
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Media, Communications, Marketing, Film, or a related field
- Passion for South Asian music, culture, and storytelling
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Basic skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects) or Canva
- Comfort with audio and/or video editing
- Excellent written communication skills for captions, scripts, and promotional copy
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
Bonus Points For
- Experience with audio editing or podcast production
- Past work in music marketing, event coverage, or artist relations
- Familiarity with SEO, hashtags, and social analytics tools
- Knowledge of diaspora trends, cultural moments, and meme culture
