Wattay Accounting, a tax, accounting and advisory CPA firm located in Smyrna, DE, provides tax compliance and preparation, accounting and consulting services to a diverse roster of small businesses and individuals. We are currently seeking a hands-on, self-starting tax professional with 5 years of recent public accounting experience for an important role assisting with tax and accounting engagements.

Responsibilities:

• Tax Preparation – Prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
• Accounting Services – Work on engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including tax research and projections, bookkeeping, general ledger work and year-end planning
• Client Services - Build existing client relationships and work collaboratively with our clients and tax team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years of recent public accounting tax experience
• Ability to effectively perform tax research and communicate findings
• Integrity with strong organization, communication, analytical, client service, and PC skills including Microsoft Office and tax software proficiency (UltraTax software proficiency is a plus)
• Attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• CPA license or CPA candidate is a plus, but NOT required
