Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC milling machines, programming, and interpreting technical drawings. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, including CNC lathes, press brake machines, and fabrication tools. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment such as CNC lathes, CNC programming, and CAM programming software
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining processes
- Set up and program machines using Fanuc controls and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery including tool changes, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Handle materials efficiently using forklifts or other warehouse equipment when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
- Assist in fabrication tasks involving welding, assembly line operations, or materials handling as needed
- Ensure all machined parts meet quality standards through inspection and testing
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines; familiarity with CNC programming and CAM software is essential
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and mechanical drawings
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar programs is preferred
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and tooling setup
- Experience with other manufacturing equipment including press brake machines, stamping presses, welding tools, and fabrication machinery is a plus
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers accurately
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during machining processes
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred; warehouse experience is advantageous
- Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good Communication Skills
