Duties

• Safely operate gravel train trucks, including tractor-trailers with various configurations such as flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles.
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely and efficient deliveries across multiple sites.
• Load and unload cargo accurately, following proper manual handling procedures and safety protocols.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
• Maintain vehicle inspection logs, report any mechanical issues promptly, and perform routine safety checks before each trip.
• Load and secure freight properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit; handle logistics cargo with precision.
• Deliver freight to designated locations while adhering to route schedules; manage delivery documentation meticulously.
• Operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo safely.
• Follow all safety procedures related to manual transmission operation, hazardous materials handling, and truck driving regulations to ensure personal safety and compliance.

Experience

• Must be able to back up trailers or willing to learn
• Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
• Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission trucks confidently over long distances using GPS navigation tools.
• Prior experience in logistics cargo handling—including load & unload procedures—preferably within a freight or construction environment.
• Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations related to commercial trucking.
• Delivery driver experience involving route driving across urban or rural areas is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or tanker trucks is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
