What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Body/Paint Technician position at Ruedy's Auto Shop, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
Auto Body Technician
-Ability to repair automobile to pre-accident condition which could include repair or replacement of panels
-Uses various power tools as needed to repair damage to vehicle body
-Hammers out dents and other minor body damage
-Mixes filler resins to repair dents
- Realigns chassis and frames to repair minor structural damage
-Replaces and/or repairs interior parts as necessary
-Ability to weld in new panels
-Maintain a clean, orderly and organized work area
Automotive Paint Technician
-Knowledge of paint mixing and color matching
-Ability to prepare and refinish paint on vehicle to pre-damaged condition
-Assist in prep work if necessary
-Ensure that once all work on the vehicle is completed, car has been cleaned up prior to its return to the customer
-Follow all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal
-Maintain a clean, orderly and organized work area
Qualifications:
-Ability to use power tools and equipment safely and effectively
-Experience with buffing, welding and paint spraying
-Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
-Valid driver's license
