The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly connected, travel-ready Account Executive to join our team and drive wholesale expansion across the United States. While we have a strong existing foundation, our primary goal is aggressive growth within specialty stores (high-end boutiques and independents) that align with our premium price tier. This is a “boots on the ground” role requiring a candidate who thrives on in-person relationship building and has the established trust of key buyers.
Key Responsibilities
- Specialty Store Expansion: Leverage your existing, strong relationships to open new doors with top-tier specialty boutiques and independent retailers across the US that operate in the $230 denim price point.
- Outreach: Seek out new retail accounts and visit potential store locations.
- Travel & Field Presence: Maintain a rigorous travel schedule visiting stores in your territory to write orders, conduct trunk shows, train sales staff, and maintain visual merchandising standards. When traveling for key events and pop-ups, the CEO of the brand and the VP will join you on the road to help foster current relationships and bring the full weight of the company behind every meeting.
- Account Management: Serve as the face of the brand. Strengthen current accounts by providing exceptional customer service, sell-through strategies, and product knowledge training to ensure Rudes Denim is the top-selling premium denim line on the floor.This role reports to the Vice President of Rüdes Denim and submits weekly updates.
- Sales Strategy: Present seasonal collections (focusing on fit, fabric, and price point integrity) to buyers and owners.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum 5 years of wholesale sales experience in premium denim or contemporary sportswear, specifically calling on specialty stores/boutiques.
- The Rolodex: You must have strong, verifiable relationships with buyers and owners at specialty stores that routinely sell denim at a $230 price point. You know who to call to get a meeting, and they trust your taste.
- Travel Agility: Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50-75% of the time) to visit stores in person. This is not a remote/email-only position.
- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the premium denim market, including fit theory, fabrications (Italian denim), and how to articulate the value of a high-price-point garment.
- Self-Starter: Highly organized, autonomous, and hungry to build a brand.

Compensation
