Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of our vehicles while ensuring compliance with all regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to optimizing fleet performance.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including scheduling maintenance and repairs for all vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding vehicle operation and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors for vehicle procurement, maintenance services, and fuel supply.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and operational readiness.
- Prepare reports on fleet performance, including maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and vehicle utilization.
- Train and supervise fleet staff in best practices for vehicle operation and maintenance procedures.
- Implement safety programs to promote a culture of safety within the fleet team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role within transportation or logistics industries.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions regarding fleet operations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
