Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications
- Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools
- Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial painting, restoration work, stucco application, masonry finishing, and renovation projects
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, framing components, and perform drywall finishing as needed for comprehensive project completion
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed while maintaining safety standards on construction sites
- Execute additional handyman tasks such as fixture installation or basic carpentry repairs to support overall project goals
Experience
- Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of color theory and surface preparation techniques
- Hands-on experience with commercial or industrial painting projects on construction sites
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math calculations for estimating materials and measurements
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to collaborate with project managers or contractors
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools (including welding equipment), scaffolding systems, and airless paint sprayers
- Background in related trades such as carpentry (trim or frame), masonry or plastering enhances versatility
- Prior experience working on renovation or restoration projects within construction environments is highly desirable
