Join Ruby's Diner and be a part of a fun and classic 1940's environment! Ruby's Diner in Anthem is seeking cashiers to to bring back the fun and nostalgia of the era. Cashiers are responsible for upholding the highest and most positive guest interactions while processing cash or credit card payments efficiently and accurately using a point of sales system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome guests with a smile and friendly manner
• Executes a high standard of customer service from beginning to end
• Handles each payment transaction accurately and efficiently complying with restaurant policy
• Maintain all required Point of Sale (POS) receipts as required by policy
• Provide confident guest interactions and address guest issues or concerns in a polite and professional manner
• Complete required side work duties and end of shift checkouts to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
• Maintain register area clean and well organized. Stock register area with any supplies or items needed
• Answers questions about menu items including food content, preparation style, beverages and other restaurant services
• Follow all standard food handling, sanitation and health department guidelines
• Maintains customer satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to requests
• Follow proper payroll, uniform, and grooming policies and procedures
• Notify management of unsafe conditions, needed maintenance of tables, chairs, carpet and/or equipment and any accidents
• Maintains open communication with the Front of House and Back of House staff to ensure efficient flow of restaurant
• Available to fill in as directed by management
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of one year (1) prior restaurant cashiering experience
• Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation and food handling
