Our highly trained Receptionists use proprietary software to personalize a caller or website visitor’s experience, answer FAQs, transfer callers and take messages, and collect information that makes it easy for the businesses we represent to follow up.

What You’ll Do and Be Accountable For:  

  • Create exceptional caller experiences that delight and wow by seeking opportunities to make meaningful connections with customers and callers via phone or chat. Treat callers as an extension of our customer, confidently and skillfully guiding conversations according to call handling instructions. 
  • Adhere to Ruby’s call-handling and performance expectations, accurately completing over 200 interactions per day, limiting personal bias while answering calls with a smile and friendly demeanor.
  • Maintain accuracy with clarity and strong attention to detail in written communication, ensuring proper spelling and grammar.  
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while toggling between two screens. 
  • Precisely and consistently follow call-handling instructions on every call, taking detailed, accurate notes and messages from callers.  
  • Maintain a record of responsible attendance by being present and reliable whenever scheduled. Be on time when leaving or returning from breaks and lunches, self-manage call status as appropriate.  

Apply If You: 

  • Have at least 9 months experience in a call center or heavy inbound call volume role, or 
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in a professional/administrative role with light inbound call volume, or 
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in a heavy customer-facing role as a Manager, Supervisor, or Lead. 
  • Able to provide exceptional customer service to a variety of customer demographics calmly and confidently, even when supporting emotional or upset callers. 
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability. 
  • Proficient computer skills and able to multi-task utilizing 2 monitors, required. Office 365 experience, preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus!   
  • Remote working experience a plus! 

 Starting Wage: 

Missouri, Kansas & Texas Tenure Scale: 
0-6 months $16.75 | 6-12 months $18.25 
1 year $19.25 

Arizona, Oregon & Washington Tenure Scale: 
0-6 months $17.50 | 6-12 months $19  
1 year $20 

Shift Availability: 

  • Set schedules with dedicated 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch 
  • Full-time, ranging between 30-40 hours/week 
  • Monday-Sunday shifts available 
  • We offer a variety of permanent shifts, dependent on business needs  
  • Part-time, evening, or graveyard shifts are not currently available   
  • Business needs may require you learn additional skills, depending on shift 

 Before You Apply, You Must: 

  • Reside in Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Missouri, Kansas, or Texas 
  • Have a dedicated workspace with limited distractions 
  • Have a phone with texting capabilities for multi-factor authentication 
  • Have direct access to your modem via Ethernet cable  
  • Have high-speed internet (20 MBps download and 10 MBps upload) to support systems and applications (an internet speed test must be completed) 

Acceptable Services:

Unacceptable Services: 

  • Fixed Wireless (T-Mobile, Verizon, and other mobile carriers) 
  • Satellite (Hughes Net, ViaSat, AT&T Sat, and others

Training: 

The training schedule is a period of 12 business days, sometimes longer, and is fully remote. Perfect attendance is mandatory and requires being present, on time, and fully engaged.  

Training schedule:

Oregon, Washington, Arizona:  
Monday – Friday, 7:30am-3:00pm Pacific 

 

Kansas, Missouri, Texas: 
Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 5:00pm Central 

 

The Particulars:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.50 per hour in OR, WA, AZ or $16.75 per hour in MO, KS, TX, with frequent tenure-based raises for your first 5.5 years!
