As a Senior Billing Specialist, you will oversee the full-cycle billing process, ensuring that all invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with company and industry standards. You will serve as a key point of contact for complex billing inquiries and play a lead role in optimizing our revenue cycle management.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Billing: Manage and execute the end-to-end billing process, including invoice generation, claim scrubbing, and electronic submission.
Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve complex billing discrepancies and payment exceptions to minimize revenue leakage.
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current billing workflows and implement solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Reporting & Analysis: Generate weekly and monthly billing reports to provide insights into aging accounts, cash flow, and billing performance.
Compliance: Ensure all billing activities adhere to federal/state regulations and internal audit requirements.
Team Collaboration: Partner with the Finance and Customer Success teams to clarify billing disputes and improve the client experience.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management (Senior-level experience preferred).
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of billing software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or industry-specific EHR/RCM systems) and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables).
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for professional client interaction and internal reporting.
Remote Expertise: Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong time-management skills.
