Role Description The Design & Sales Assistant is a full-time, on-site role located in Green Bay, WI. This role supports the design and sales teams in planning event layouts, selecting rental items, and preparing proposals and price quotes for clients. Daily tasks include assisting with showroom presentations, organizing inventory and product displays, coordinating order details, and helping set up or stage items for client viewings or events. The Design & Sales Assistant communicates with clients via email, phone, and in person to answer questions, schedule appointments, and provide product recommendations aligned with event themes and budgets. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in sales or rental software, supporting the creation of simple visual mock-ups or mood boards, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth event execution and a positive client experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and client-facing communication skills, including the ability to listen carefully and translate client needs into design and product recommendations.
- Basic design sense and visual merchandising skills, with an eye for color, style, and layout in event setups and showroom displays.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including accurate data entry, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up on quotes and orders.
- Sales support skills, such as preparing proposals, assisting with pricing, and helping identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities in line with client needs.
- Comfort using common office and point-of-sale software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or rental management tools), and willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to work on-site, including occasional lifting, moving, and arranging rental items, and supporting event setup or breakdown as needed.
- Collaborative mindset, reliability, and a professional, inclusive approach to working with diverse clients and team members.
- Prior experience in events, retail, interior design, hospitality, or a related customer-focused field is helpful but not required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
