About the Role
We’re looking for a Vice President of Sourcing Operations to lead and scale Rubicon’s outbound sourcing engine. This individual will be responsible for driving top-of-funnel pipeline generation through proactive outreach, structured sourcing programs, and disciplined execution across the investment team.
This is a highly execution-oriented role for someone who thrives on building pipeline, owning activity, and creating consistent market engagement. The ideal candidate will combine a BDR-style mindset with strong operational rigor—leading from the front while building systems that scale.
What You’ll Do
Outbound Sourcing & Pipeline Generation
Own and drive Rubicon’s outbound sourcing efforts across founders, executives, and intermediaries
Execute high-volume, high-quality outreach strategies (email, calls, events, and introductions)
Build and maintain target lists across priority sectors, themes, and companies
Generate proprietary, off-market opportunities through consistent outbound engagement
Activity Management & Accountability
Run regular pipeline reviews focused on activity levels, coverage, and conversion
Drive a culture of discipline, urgency, and measurable output
CRM & Pipeline Management
Ensure CRM is a live outbound management tool, not just a system of record
Track all outreach, interactions, and follow-ups with high accuracy
Build dashboards to monitor pipeline health, activity, and coverage gaps
Use data to guide targeting, prioritization, and outreach strategy
Campaigns & Market Engagement
Design and execute targeted outbound campaigns and outreach sequences
Own conference and event strategy, including pre-event outreach and follow-up
Maintain consistent, high-frequency engagement across Rubicon’s target markets
Strengthen the firm’s visibility and positioning through proactive market coverage
Market Intelligence & Team Enablement
Capture insights from outbound activity to refine targeting and messaging
Identify emerging themes and opportunities through direct market engagement
Train investment professionals on best practices in outbound sourcing and relationship development
Build playbooks to improve sourcing effectiveness and consistency
What We’re Looking For
4 years of experience in sourcing, or origination-focused roles within financial services
Bachelors Degree from a credited University
Proven track record of building pipeline through proactive outreach
Highly metrics-driven with strong accountability and execution mindset
Strong communication skills with ability to engage founders and senior executives
Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) as an active pipeline management tool
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
