The Rubell Museum is seeking a warm, engaging, and service-driven Visitor Services Associate to serve as the first point of connection for our guests. This role is essential to creating a welcoming, polished, and memorable museum experience for all visitors.
As a key member of the front-of-house team, you will represent the museum’s voice and values guiding guests, supporting membership engagement, and ensuring a seamless experience from arrival through departure.
What You'll Do
Guest Experience & Front-of-House
- Welcome visitors with a professional, friendly, and engaging presence
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on exhibitions, programs, and museum offerings
- Create a positive first impression that reflects the museum’s standards and atmosphere
Admissions & Membership
- Process admission tickets and transactions accurately and efficiently
- Support membership inquiries and actively contribute to membership sales
- Communicate the value of membership and encourage deeper engagement with the museum
Retail & Operations
- Operate the Shopify POS system for admissions and museum shop purchases
- Maintain the presentation of the museum shop, ensuring a clean, organized, and visually compelling space
- Restock merchandise and support inventory management as needed
Communication & Support
- Respond to visitor questions in person and by phone with clarity and professionalism
- Collaborate with internal teams to stay informed on current programming and updates
- Support daily operations and contribute to a smooth, well-run front-of-house environment
What You Bring
- 2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or a related field
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, public-facing environment
- Experience with POS systems (Shopify preferred) and basic computer proficiency
- A genuine interest in contemporary art and cultural spaces
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, team-oriented, and solutions-driven mindset
Schedule
