Rubbercraft is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist who supports the enterprise by providing guidance and direction to ensure business unit transactions are compliance with all applicable U.S. import laws (CBP) and export regulations (BIS). This role will serve as the site subject matter expert, responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining compliant processes across all trade activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Trade Compliance Program Ownership
- Develop, implement, and maintain import and export compliance processes and procedures aligned with CBP, ITAR, and EAR regulations
- Establish and manage master data, including HTS and ECCN classifications, valuation, and country of origin determinations
- Monitor export and import activities to ensure appropriate licensing and approvals are in place
Export Licensing & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and submit export license applications, including exemptions and exceptions
- Manage and track export authorizations and ensure timely renewals
- Ensure compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
Audits, Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments; implement corrective action plans
- Investigate and support resolution of potential compliance issues
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend process improvements
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Purchasing to ensure compliance across all transactions
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on trade compliance requirements
- Support vendor compliance and approval processes
Facility & Information Control (ITAR)
- Support and enforce ITAR-related controls, including visitor access, data handling, and deemed export considerations
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in import/export compliance
- Strong working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs regulations (CBP)
- Hands-on experience with HTS and ECCN classification and export licensing
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret and Special Access Program (SAP) clearances
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with systems such as ACE, Epicor, or similar
Preferred:
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB)
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
Work Environment
- This is a fully onsite position based in Long Beach, CA

Salary : $75,000 - $115,000
