This position works on-site at the Ruan campus located downtown Des Moines

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Leads projects in all aspects of Managed Transportation customer's business, focusing on continuous improvement processes, customer focused analytics, operational efficiencies, implementing efficiencies to achieve operational excellence and problem-solving methods through the use of Six Sigma and Lean principles, tools, concepts, and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Works with with internal team members and customer to identify problems, analyzes information, and develops and implements process solutions.
- Leads and conducts data analysis projects to identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement projects. Responsible for the customer focus of key metrics and predictive analytics that drive business behavior.
- Creates, keeps up to date, and sustains continuous improvement processes, metrics, and tools for assigned team members, customer or departments in supporting key deliverables.
- Works with colleagues and functional leaders in accomplishing project goals. Identifies barriers to success and solicits help from leadership as needed.
- Leads customer facing and internal presentations. Develops and maintains professional customer relations via frequent communications to help facilitate a trusted and long term partnership.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Logistics, Transportation, Engineering or related field of study
Experience: 1-2 years experience in logistics supply chain industry with operational, process improvement, project management and analytics; 2 years of SQL experience is required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Practical experience with CI methodologies, to include Six Sigma and Lean. Track record of successful execution of cross-functional projects in a variety of business settings and situations. Employee should have broad knowledge of Microsoft Office products, e-mail, internet access, and computer based project management software. Employee must have ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Employee must have ability to analyze and document complex business processes, make effective decisions under pressure, think analytically and be a problem solver by gathering and interpreting relevant data and information. Individual must be able to set priorities and accomplish duties with little and remote supervision and direction.
