What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative - Brokerage position at Ruan Transportation Management Systems?
This CSR position works on-site at Ruan Campus located downtown Des Moines
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 7:30A - 4:30P
CSR ensures that loads are prepared correctly in the TMS for coverage by the Broker Team, to include load building and acceptance, appointment scheduling, etc. Interfaces directly with customers and cooperates with Account Management team to cultivate customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Appoint pick up and delivery of loads.
- Utilize preferred communication and scheduling methods / platforms per customer.
- Enters loads into the system, either by manually building or through EDI acceptance.
- Alert customers to assessorial instances and operational occurrences as applicable.
- Reviews scorecards with Manager of Business Dev. and Accounts along with Acct Managers in order to improve how we service each account.
- Assist in trouble shooting OSD / Claims / RMA situations by providing factual, concise, collaborative communication between customer, appropriate Ruan personnel, Ops Manager, and Account Manager.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
JOB REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred or equivalent work experience
Course(s) of Study: Logistics/Transportation/Business
Experience: 1-2 Years. Experience in transportation or logistics industry involving dispatch and customer service.
