Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and surface sanitation
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and janitorial tools efficiently and safely
• Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
• Maintain cleanliness of surfaces in kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning detergents
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as sweeping walkways or maintaining exterior cleanliness when required
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
• Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards
• Support housekeeping management by following established procedures for cleaning surfaces and floors in residential settings

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in residential or commercial environments is preferred
• Proven ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, floor care, dusting, and sanitation procedures
• Experience with cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and outdoor work is advantageous
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to manual handling and heavy lifting
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced settings
• Knowledge of residential housekeeping practices and outdoor work experience will be considered a plus
