What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Technician position at RU2 Engineering?
Job Duties:
· Site and Remedial Investigations
· Sampling - Soil/Groundwater/Sediment
· Preliminary Assessment/Phase I/Phase II ESA
· Underground Storage Tank Removal
· Vapor Intrusion/Air Quality Monitoring
· Remediation Oversight
Qualifications:
· Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related discipline
· US Citizen
· NJ Driver’s license
· Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
· 1 to 2 years of environmental field work/sampling experience is preferred
· Ability to identify different soil and geologic formations
· Familiarity and understanding of groundwater and soil sampling
· AutoCAD/GIS knowledge preferred
· Ability to follow direction and work independently
· Good analytical, judgment and problem-solving capabilities
· Familiarity with NJDEP regulations, LSRP program and compliance requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
