Overview
We are looking for a Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance and reporting.
The ideal candidate will ensure the fleet operates at optimized performance, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations. The Fleet Manager will play a key role in coordinating with various departments to meet company objectives while maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee internal and external mechanics
- Make sure General Managers get vehicles to the shop timely
- Double check third party bills and work
- Track inventory and major purchases
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, licenses, insurance, and registration documentation.
- Help with procurement of new vehicles and disposal of outdated or damaged assets.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in fleet management or transportation operations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
- Ability to analyze data related to fleet performance and implement strategic improvements.
- At least a Class B CDL
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively. This position offers an opportunity to lead a critical component of our operations while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance across our national vehicle fleet.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with maintenance management software like, whip around, fleetio, fleet mate, simple fleet, samsara etc.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
