Overview
Seeking a dedicated Farm Worker for small farm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting small farm operation and ensuring the smooth running of daily tasks will include maintenance of livestock. Small one bedroom living quarters can be available in 30 days if needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist in various farming activities and additional handy work
- Maintain and repair farm structures and equipment
- Operate forklifts, tractors, power tools, and other machinery as needed
- Irrigate crops and maintain proper watering schedules
- Cultivate and care for gardens, crop and bush hogging of field
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing of materials
- Operate and maintain farm machinery efficiently
- Utilize hand tools for various farming tasks
Requirements
- Experience in farm activities is beneficial
- Proficiency in using tractors, power tools, and other equipment
- Ability to irrigate crops effectively
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with operating farm machinery
- Proficiency in using hand tools for farming tasks
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
