We are looking for a Knitting Operator to join our team.
Job Summary
The Knitting Operator is responsible for ensuring all required materials, documentation, and yarn are available for production setup. This position performs machine string-ups, monitors product quality, conducts size checks, and supports efficient knitting operations. Once trained, the Knitting Operator is responsible for operating 8–10 machines while maintaining quality and production standards.
Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours)

Responsibilities:
- Print and review all required production paperwork for ticket orders, including:
- String-up sheet
- Technical write-up sheet
- Sample garment
- Dimension sheet
- Style box documentation (for hand-cut machines)
- Verify the correct standard, extension, dimensions, and materials are available before beginning production. Check swatch book for color placement if more than one color
- Make sure machine is strung up correctly according to string up sheet
- Perform machine string-ups. Verify correct cone serial lot numbers are on the machine
- Order yarn from the warehouse
- Double tie cones on large orders
- Keep machine clean and oiled
- Monitor knitted fabric for defects and quality issues
- Sign out ticket quantity produced at end of shift or when ticket is completed and approved by the Knitting Technician
- Transfer yarn used on Ticket and return unused yarn to inventory
- Assist with general housekeeping and cleanliness of the department
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain quality standards and report defects or equipment issues promptly
