How You’ll Make an Impact 

The Buyer II independently manages routine OSP procurement activities, ensuring parts flow on schedule while meeting quality and cost expectations. This role requires solid judgment and proactive communication across departments.

 

What you’ll be doing as a Buyer II:

  • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Chatsworth, CA location.
  • Independently create, manage, and track routine POs for OSP services.
  • Manage vendor communications and monitor supplier performance on assigned work.
  • Gather pricing and lead time information to support Estimating and quoting efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with invoicing, delivery, and supplier documentation with minimal oversight.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth part flow and schedule alignment.
  • Contribute to supplier performance feedback and vendor selection.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience):

  • 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain (preferably aerospace/manufacturing).
  • Familiarity with OSP services (heat treat, anodize, NDT, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand basic technical documents, drawings, and specs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Experience working with supplier certifications and documentation.
  • Exposure to ISO9001 or AS9100 quality systems.

  • Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs.

  • Access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

 

Work Environment: 

A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.

 

Compensation and Benefits: 

 

Employee Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long-term disability and 401(k) with up to 6% QACA company match. 

The Buyer II Compensation range for onsite California applicants is $80,000-$85,000 annually commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
