Duties
- Develop accurate project estimates by analyzing construction plans, specifications, and site conditions using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar tools.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including cost analysis, resource allocation, and schedule considerations.
- Manage project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project to coordinate timelines, milestones, and resource deployment effectively.
- Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Lead project teams by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and fostering clear communication among subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets closely through cost management practices; track expenses and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Utilize construction management software like ProCore, Prolog, or Bluebeam for document control, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Read blueprints and construction plans accurately; interpret technical drawings to guide on-site execution.
- Ensure compliance with all construction regulations and safety standards throughout project lifecycle.
- Coordinate project scheduling efforts to optimize resource utilization and minimize delays.
- Manage contracts by reviewing scope of work, change orders, and ensuring contractual obligations are met efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction project management with a focus on infrastructure or commercial projects.
- Strong background in construction estimating with proficiency in tools such as HeavyBid or equivalent software.
- Familiarity with project scheduling software including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management practices, including cost control, schedule coordination, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on construction site experience demonstrating an understanding of field operations and safety protocols.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately for effective project execution.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment; capable of motivating diverse groups toward common goals.
- Proficiency in construction management software like ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog; strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of contracts administration including scope review, change order processing, and legal considerations.
