What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds/Custodian position at RSU No 38?
Position Overview: To provide students and staff with a physical environment which is safe, clean, and conducive to learning and participating in extra & co-curricular activities. Responsibilities include upkeep of the Maranacook sporting complex, mowing, lining fields, weed whacking, shoveling and plowing the Maranacook campus and other district buildings as needed. This position will also be responsible for custodial duties in district buildings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in upkeep of commercial facilities and properties to include preparation of fields for sporting events
- Experience in the cleaning and light maintenance of public or commercial buildings
- Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; provide information and/or advise others
This position will focus on outdoor work from approximately April through October, and custodial duties through the rest of the year. The candidate must be willing to work 1st and 2nd shift depending on the needs of the district. Some weekend hours may be required with a day off during the regular work week.
