Entry Level Technology Support Specialist
District-wide though based at The Molly Ockett School
Qualifications:
Genuine interest in learning the field of Instructional Technology Support
Possess excellent people skills, be flexible, and have a global perspective on technologies with good academic and technical knowledge.
Demonstrate capacity to be self-directed, organized, collaborative, and self initiated.
Possess strong technology skills in modern computer usage; optimally including knowledge of Google Workspace, networking, databases, printers, projectors, and a good understanding of macOS and iOS/iPadOS operating systems but training is available.
Be self motivated to learn new technologies and be a lifelong learner.
Demonstrate the willingness, skill, and patience to troubleshoot a wide variety of issues independently, and seek assistance from team members when it is needed.
Be detail oriented, careful, and foresightful when working with inventory in databases.
Travel between district sites regularly each week as needed.
Be able to lift 50 pounds and be comfortable on ladders.
Maintain confidentiality within the work environment.
Job Goal:
To maintain district technology for all users, and to work closely with K-8 grade students and staff to provide hardware and software support as needs arise.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
To work collaboratively with the Technology Team to provide excellent district-wide support.
To respond to technology ticketing requests and assist users by finding solutions to their problems.
To maintain 1-to-1 educational devices for all students and staff. This includes regular cleaning, assessment, battery maintenance, and OS imaging throughout the school year and during the summer.
To perform regular maintenance of classroom technology and verify inventory is as expected.
To assist in the installation of newly acquired technology and structured cabling.
To assist students with technology-related activities or projects.
Work on a flexible schedule to allow for after school projects if needed.
Any other related duties, which might be requested by the Technology Team or district.
