Special Services Preschool Occupational Therapist
As an Early Childhood Occupational Therapist, you will work with preschool children ages 3-4 to develop essential skills for learning and daily functioning. You will provide specialized therapeutic intervention to help our youngest learners reach developmental milestones and maximize their potential in both school and community settings.
Qualifications:
Possession of a valid license in the State of Maine (OTR/L)
National registration through NBCOT (OTR/L)
Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
Experience working with children is preferred
Knowledge of early childhood development and sensory integration techniques
Experience working in educational settings and/or with special needs populations
Knowledge of Special Education Part C and school-based services
Strong understanding of special education state and federal regulations
Reports to:
Director of Special Education and Preschool Special Services Program Coordinator
Terms of Employment:
Salary based on the current KAKEA Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement, with additional per diem days as needed to meet compliance, evaluation, and case management responsibilities.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the building administrator.
