Load Securement Associate

Position Summary

The Load Securement Associate / Preloader position provides service to our premier customer in Ghent, KY at the North American Steel Facility. This position will assist in daily preload operations at the customer's site under 1955 Services.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in the set-up of loading positions and securement equipment
• Secure loads with tarp coverings as required by customer load specifications
• Inspect and clean customer preload lot as needed
• Help repair equipment (chains, binders, tarps, etc.) as needed
• Conduct tasks, lane assignment schedules as requested and required by the customer
• Adhere to all 1955 Services policies and procedures (safety, attendance, professional conduct, etc.)
• Maintain a professional attitude and communication at all times with customers, co-workers, management etc.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and work environment (keep equipment clean, organized, etc.)

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Entry level position
• Training will be provided to conduct daily job duties

Physical Demands

• Climb up and down trailers
• Frequent lifting of approximately 75 - 100 pounds
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as; hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, protective sleeves, gloves and metatarsal boots
• Work conducted inside and outside in all weather conditions

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am

Hourly Pay Range: $18 -$20 (depending on experience)
