What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at RSG Forest Products?
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with fork trucks, loaders, and other machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems is preferable
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Certification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent training is preferred.
