Combo Welder/Fitter | $42/hr | Pascagoula, MS
RSC Maritime is hiring experienced combo welders/fitters for long-term, new-construction shipyard work in Pascagoula, MS. This role involves laying out, fitting, fabricating, and welding structural steel components for marine vessels.
What you’ll do
- Read blueprints, welding symbols, and standard and metric measurements
- Lay out, fit, and fabricate steel plate and structural components
- Weld using FCAW and SMAW processes
- Use shipfitting tools, including grinders, torches, jacks, chain falls, and measuring tools
What you need
- 3–5 years of shipfitting, structural fabrication, or related trade experience
- Hands-on FCAW and SMAW experience
- Ability to pass a skills test, hair follicle drug screen, PFT, and background check
