Job Summary
The Human Resource Assistant supports the Human Resources department by providing consistent, people-focused administrative and operational support. This role assists with onboarding, training, payroll, benefits, and daily HR functions while handling sensitive information with care and professionalism. Working collaboratively with employees and leadership, the Human Resource Assistant helps ensure reliable processes and a supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in creating and organizing training documents and materials and support the administration of both in-person and digital training sessions for employee development and onboarding.
· Help with the development, communication, and compliance of company policies and procedures, and assist with various HR functions, such as onboarding, payroll inquiries, and benefits management.
· Assist in answering employee questions, interpreting policies, and supporting the monitoring of performance progress. Help with the filing and documentation of employee records, growth, and performance evaluations.
· Provide assistance with data entry for weekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing, and help with administrative HR tasks, including company mail distribution.
· Assist in supporting safety and injury protocols, including reporting, follow-up, and coordinating drug testing to ensure compliance with company policies.
· Support multitasking across various HR functions and demonstrate proficiency in relevant computer skills, including software applications and data management.
· Assist in fostering networking within the company to support collaboration and help implement people-focused strategies to create a positive work environment.
· Provide assistance in foundational HR tasks while demonstrating flexibility to support various HR functions as needed and address the needs of employees and
management.
· Help with apparel audits and the ordering process to maintain accurate inventory levels.
· Assist with maintaining office and cleaning supply inventory, including restocking as needed, and support general upkeep of common areas such as kitchens including the coffee machine and bathrooms.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
· High School Diploma or GED

Schedule & Work Hours
Work schedules may vary by department. Standard full-time schedules typically consist of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required and must be pre-approved by the
management team.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
