POSITION SUMMARY

Temporary Part-Time | Potential Full-Time Opportunity

The Dispatch Data Entry Assistant keeps service calls moving by creating and updating work orders, coordinating with technicians, and serving as a key point of contact for customers by phone and email. This is a phone-heavy, detail-driven role in a fast-paced environment and a strong path for someone looking to grow into a full-time position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      Create accurate work order tickets for incoming service requests.

      Monitor the dispatch inbox and respond to customer emails promptly and professionally.

      Answer a high volume of customer phone calls and document all relevant service details.

      Assign service calls to technicians based on availability, location, and skill set.

      Send work order details and updates to technicians by email.

      Update tickets in internal systems and customer portals to reflect work status and completion.

      Take technician checkouts and document them completely and accurately.

      Maintain clear, organized records to support dispatchers and field team.

      Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

      High school diploma or equivalent required.

      General computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook, with an emphasis on Excel.

      Must be able to view and work with details on a computer screen for long periods of time.

      Comfortable spending a large portion of the shift on the phone.

      Strong written and verbal communication skills.

      Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

      Strong organizational and analytical skills.

      High standards of quality and customer service.

      Ability to organize workload, prioritize responsibilities, and meet established deadlines.

      Effective time-management skills.

      Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse personalities.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

      Shift options: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

      $18.00 per hour.

      Temporary position with the opportunity to transition to full-time based on performance and business need.
