Main Duties & Responsibilities
Principal Responsibilities
This job is responsible to perform all QA Penetrant Inspections for all company products as required by
specifications called out in customer requirements.
DUTIES
Be qualified to establish techniques, carry out the test, and interpret the results
Accept or reject parts are to be identified or marked after inspection test is completed
Able to interpret vendor test results
Accurate inspection record keeping capabilities
Monitor calibration requirements of area equipment
Interpret vendors penetrant test results accurately
Read and interpret inspection indications and evaluate them with reference to applicable specifications
Accurate ability to organize and report test results
Read and interpret company, customer and military drawing and related specification as required
The pay range for this position is from $20.00 to $30.58 (hourly).
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate and some Tech Training plus PER ASNT SNT-TC-1A and MIL-STD-410
5 to 8 years experience as Penetrant Inspector
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be qualified per ASNT recommended. Practice SNT-TC-1A, Supplement “D” and appendices and MIL-STD-410
Sufficient practical background in applicable materials, fabrication and product technology to establish techniques and procedures for penetrant inspection
Communicate through oral or written communication in English.
Able to read in English blueprints, work orders, etc.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently is required to stand; sit, walk, and use hands or finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties to this job, employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
