The Opportunity
RSA Architecture & Engineering is growing its architectural practice and strengthening its long‑term talent pipeline. We are seeking an Associate Architect to support project delivery, technical development, and design execution across a range of project types.
This role is ideal for an architect with 5 years of experience who is either licensed or actively working toward licensure, and who wants to grow under the mentorship of senior architectural leadership.
The Location
This position is an on-site role based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

What You’ll Do
- Support architectural projects from concept through construction administration
- Prepare and develop construction documents in coordination with engineering disciplines
- Assist with design development, detailing, and code compliance
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and internal design reviews
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal team members
- Support construction administration tasks including submittals, RFIs, and site visits
- Uphold RSA’s design standards, technical quality, and documentation practices
Who We’re Looking For
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- 5 years of professional architectural experience
- Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure (AREs in progress supported)
- Proficiency in Revit and standard architectural production tools
- Solid understanding of building codes, construction documents, and coordination
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset with a desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
