Construction Project Manager/Project Estimator

R/S Industrial Services is a Mechanical / Pipefitter Contractor whose installation and design-build expertise is exceeded only by our commitment to serve and deliver for our clients, including industrial facilities and process, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, grain elevators, water and waste water treatment, power generation, colleges/universities, utility projects and alternative energy such as solar and wind.

The construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing the overall direction, completion, and budget of each assigned project. The Project Manager will manage, direct and coordinate all aspects of design work related to multiple design and design-build projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the profit and loss of their individual projects, the successful completion of their projects within the specified dates, and establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with the client.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and manage team efforts for submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiation, and related activities.
• Manage multiple projects and the development of each from beginning to end.
• Manage each phase of the project including design, permitting, bidding, contracting (administration and change order review), construction and project close out.
• Plan, organize and direct electrical construction including, electrical deliverables, overall safety, cost, scheduling and quality of assigned projects.
• Develop project execution plans for project staffing, budgeting, scheduling and establishing critical project objectives.
• Ensure that the project review process and other quality control guidelines are followed.
• Consult and assist clients with project delivery plans.
• Establish project teams and coordinate activities of multiple disciplines if needed, ensuring the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
• Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
• Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Deliver outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients needs.
• Maintain safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protect operations by keeping company information confidential.

Skills/Attributes:

• Ability to deal effectively with clients on project-related matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications. Preference to those also proficient in BlueBeam and BHS estimating software.
• Familiar knowledge of construction components, processes and methodologies.
• Flexibility to work, and ability to adapt, to the rapid changes of a market-driven environment.
• Excellent time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience (mechanical preferred) managing construction projects. Only those employees that are reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and who display a good attitude will be considered.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or related field.
