Job Description
The Wireless Sales Operations Support role blends the responsibilities of a sales operations specialist with the specific needs of the wireless/telecom industry. It focuses on enabling the sales team to perform efficiently, meet targets, and deliver strong customer experiences.
Core Responsibilities
- Support Sales Planning & Execution: Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies, including product bundling, promotions, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Sales Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance trends, customer acquisition, and conversion rates to identify improvement areas.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Develop and maintain sales forecasts, generate detailed reports for management, and present insights to stakeholders.
- CRM & Database Management: Maintain and optimize customer relationship management (CRM) systems, ensuring accurate customer data and sales tracking.
- Process Improvement: Implement and streamline sales processes, aligning them with marketing, product development, and customer service functions.
- Compliance & Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to sales policies, compliance standards, and company procedures.
- Training & Development: Support sales training initiatives, including product knowledge updates and sales techniques.
- Customer Support Integration: Work with technical teams to troubleshoot wireless device issues and provide sales support for customer service scenarios.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Postpaid Wireless Sales for the Nation’s largest wireless companies.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Familiarity in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and POS software.
- Knowledge of wireless products, plans, and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Detail-oriented with accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Industry Context
In wireless sales, this role may also involve:
- Partnering with marketing to align campaigns with sales goals.
