Long Island: * Duct Cleaning Technician NIGHT/ DAY SHIFT

Our company is HOODZ of New York, we've been cleaning vent hoods at NIGHT in restaurant kitchens for 21 years.

We are currently expaning to service eastern Long Island - Looking for Long Island (Eastern Nassau, suffolk) Based Technicians.

We are hiring for crew member position which does NOT require experience, we train on the job. We hire for enthusiasm and work ethic.

The crew member position involves cleaning exhaust hood, flue & fan with big emphasis on scraping the ductwork, scraping and wiping the hood, and power washing the exhaust fan on the roof. This job is very fast paced and you will be on your feet working for the entire shift except for travel time to and from jobs. Please do not apply if you are not a hard working individual. Punctuality is a must.

We usually clean 3 restaurants/night (while they are closed) and work Sunday - Thursday night (approx 10pm-8am). (times vary each night)

WHAT WE DO:

• Degreasing commercial hood systems
• Power washing of kitchen exhaust hood systems, ductwork, hood filters and more
• Clean rooftop exhaust fans and surrounding areas
• Installation of auxiliary items including; access panels, hinge kits, and grease containment systems
• Provide exceptional customer service while proudly representing HOODZ

Requirements and Expectations:

• Must have valid driver's license-company truck provided from shop to job site with opportunity to take home.
• Have transportation to and from work
• Work in small/tight areas (wiping down inside of restaurant hood)
• Lift 100 pounds
• Work on feet for 10 hours at a time
• Work on knees for 30 minutes at a time
• Must be able to squat and lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb ladder
• Not have any other obligations or work commitments. This is FULL TIME job.
• Ability to work overnight with varying shift times - Shifts can start as early as 5 pm and as late as 12 am
• Ability to access and tolerate small spaces and work in high places
• Ability to endure all weather conditions - a portion of each shift is outside on rooftops
• Physically demanding position - you will be on your feet, climbing ladders, and using heavy equipment
• Strong work ethic - dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
• Welding & Mechanical inclination is a bonus but not required

Important Notes

Helper can expect to earn 720-900/week.

Lead techs (90 days) can expect to earn 1000-1500 .
