Purpose of Position
The Line Service Technician I is responsible for supporting daily ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews, passengers, and guests while delivering exceptional customer service in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.

This role supports line service operations by assisting with aircraft handling, fueling, customer requests, and facility support services. The position works closely with flight crews and other departments to ensure safe, efficient, and professional operations in a fast-paced aviation environment. Safety is the top priority in this position due to regular exposure to aircraft operations, fuel, moving equipment, and other hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support a service environment focused on safety, efficiency, and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Adhere to all general work requirements, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate preparedness for all aircraft arrivals and departures.
  • Assist with aircraft movement, marshaling, towing, and placement.
  • Perform aircraft fueling operations in accordance with company and safety standards.
  • Assist with aircraft storage and hangar operations.
  • Support fuel movement, quality control, disposal procedures, and related documentation.
  • Perform lavatory and potable water services.
  • Assist with wing walking and fuel truck safety procedures.
  • Proactively coordinate operational needs with dispatch and team members.
  • Fulfill customer and crew service requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to passengers, crew, and guests.
  • Maintain awareness of ramp activity and operational flow.
  • Operate company vehicles and ground support equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate willingness to continuously learn and develop operational knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)

  • Entry-level position; previous line service or aviation experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment safely.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to take feedback, learn quickly, and apply training effectively.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

 

Physical Requirements

  • This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, machinery, and varying weather conditions.
  • This position regularly works outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Physical demands may include walking, standing, stooping, bending, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • May require lifting and lowering up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as operationally required.
