What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical & Piping Insulator position at RQ Construction, LLC?
RQ Construction is actively seeking experienced Mechanical and Piping Insulators to support ongoing construction projects at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. All work will be performed on military installations, with compensation provided in accordance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements applicable to the project location.
This position is responsible for installing insulation on mechanical piping systems, ductwork, and related equipment to maintain temperature control, improve energy efficiency, and support system performance. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of mechanical insulation practices, experience using industry-standard tools and materials, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in active construction environments. All duties must be completed in compliance with established safety procedures and in support of RQ Construction's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage range: $19.19-$34.00 depending on qualifications and experience

Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program through a union, military, trade school, or employer-sponsored training program strongly preferred
- Minimum of four years of journeyman-level experience or equivalent experience as a mechanical or piping insulator in commercial construction or facility operations
- Prior experience on military, government, or large-scale commercial construction projects preferred
