RQ Construction is a national Design-Build contractor with over $1 billion in active projects across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. We specialize in large-scale commercial and Department of Defense construction and are looking for an experienced HVAC Start-Up Technician to join our growing mechanical team in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

What You'll Do
- Start up, test, troubleshoot, and commission commercial HVAC systems
- Work on chillers, boilers, 50 ton RTUs, pumps, hydronic systems, and cooling towers
- Diagnose electrical and refrigeration issues
- Perform compressor replacements, refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging
- Partner with project teams and manufacturers to ensure systems perform as designed
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of commercial HVAC service or start-up experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills on large commercial equipment
- Experience with chillers, boilers, RTUs, and hydronic systems
- EPA 608 Certification required
- OSHA 10 (or ability to obtain)
- Factory certifications and government or industrial project experience is a plus
