What are the responsibilities and job description for the ELECTRICIAN I (NON-LICENSED) position at RPSB Maintenance Dept?
FLSA: Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have 5 years experience in electrical field
• Good knowledge of industrial/commercial electrical work with experience with
building services, switch gear, electric motors and pumps, computer cables, control
wiring
• Good knowledge of local, state and national electrical codes
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Facilities
SUPERVISES: Helpers
JOB GOAL: To assist the Supervisor of Facilities in providing facilities that
are properly maintained and conductive to a learning environment
TERM: Twelve (12) months
SALARY: MD-115
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform electrical work as directed or required by work order
2. Be diligent in performing work in safe manner
3. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
4. Maintain written records as required and directed
5. Be responsible and use good judgment in the purchase of job materials
6. Operate any vehicles in a safe manner and follow policies as directed
7. Perform work in a professional and timely manner
8. Follow Rapides Parish School Board policies
9. Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Buildings and Construction
10. Sign in and out at each school and cooperate with all building personnel
